On Monday, the production was named Outstanding New Broadway Play by the 2026 Outer Critics Circle Awards. The production’s five Tony nominations are for Best Play, Best Featured Actress in a Play (Marylouise Burke), Best Featured Actor in a Play (Richard Thomas), Best Direction of a Play, and Best Costume Design of a Play (Emilio Sosa).

The play focuses on the members of a neighborhood association who squabble over rules and changes (like the exact size and style of approved porch balusters) that seem minor but in fact barely conceal deeper issues of belonging, ownership and the weight of legacy.
