EXCLUSIVE: Dark Matter author and series creator Blake Crouch and writer-producer Jacquelyn Ben-Zekry have signed with CAA for representation.
In addition to Dark Matter, Crouch is the author of numerous novels, including Recursion and Upgrade, all New York Times bestsellers. His books have been translated into more than 40 languages, and his short fiction has appeared in publications, including Ellery Queen, Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine, and Cemetery Dance.
Crouch’s Wayward Pines trilogy was adapted into the Fox television series Wayward Pines, executive produced by M. Night Shyamalan, which became the network’s No. 1 show of summer 2015. He also co-created Good Behavior for TNT, alongside Chad Hodge, based on his Letty Dobesh novellas, and a feature adaptation of his novel Famous, starring Zac Efron, is forthcoming from A24.
Most recently, Crouch completed the second season of Apple TV+’s sci-fi series Dark Matter, premiering in August, on which he serves as a writer, executive producer, and showrunner.
Ben-Zekry is a screenwriter, producer, and developmental story editor who began her career in publishing, specializing in commercial fiction across the mystery, thriller, horror, sci-fi, and fantasy genres.
While working in publishing, she contributed to books that have appeared on the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Indie Best, and Amazon bestseller lists, received numerous awards, and gone on to be adapted for film and television.
She currently serves as a writer and executive producer on Dark Matter.
